Road Box
This is the road box I modified for use while being a floor manager. Originally, the box had a single 4' x 4' door that completely blocked the backstage path. Also, there were only three shelves that ran the entire 4' length. I built a new door that opens in the middle, thus taking up half the room. Also, I split the box in two with a verticle spacer. I then made several shelves of varying heights to accomadate different supplys. Each shelf is recessed 5" from the front of the box to provide spacing for extension cords that hang on the inside of the doors. I also built four drawers and a pencil holder and ran a rope light around the top for illumination in the dark backstage.

MP3 Player Dock
I worked in the back of a hardware store one summer and made mosquito screens for windows 8 hours a day. I was allowed to listen to music, so I constructed this dock out of a piece of 1x6 cedar, two old car speakers, a 1/8" to RCA cable, and some mosquito screen. The base fits an iPod dock that can then plug into the wall to keep the player charged. One day I would like to make a second one that includes an amplifier.
