  • Technical Design and Production MFA candidate in the Yale School of Drama, class of 2013

        -         Classes include structural design for the stage, shop technology, stage rigging, production                           drafting, and electricity.

        -          ATD for the upcoming Carlotta Festival of New Plays (three original works in rep).

  • Floor Manager/Part-Time Carpenter for Northlight Theatre (September ’09 - July '10)

        -          Maintain sets and backstage for Northlight Theatre.

        -          Assist PA in running of all shows.

        -          Work in scenic studio while not running a show.

  • Scenic Carpenter at Northlight Theatre (August ‘08 – April ’09, August ‘09)

        -          Full-time carpenter. Built, loaded, and struck all sets for ’08-’09 season.

  • Carpenter at Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Summer ’08)

        -          Assisted Master Carpenter and Technical Director with construction of scenery.

        -          Aided productions as running crew as needed.

  • Undergraduate Technical Director of the Booker T. Washington Lab Theatre (August ’07 - May ’08)

        -          In charge of all technical aspects of USC’s second stage shows in the BTW black box theatre.

        -          Supervised other undergraduates during work calls.

        -          Built sets, hung and focused lights, and set up sound based on requirements of shows.

  • Technical Director for Green Room Productions (August ’06 – May ’08)

        -          In charge of technical aspects for the undergraduate theatre group Green Room Productions.

        -          Worked with undergraduate directors to satisfy technical needs of their productions.

  • Production Assistant at North Shore Music Theatre (Summer ’07)

        -          PAs worked in scenic, prop, and paint shops between shows and acted as load and run crew                             for full productions, concerts, and children’s shows. Duties included flys, grips, spot op, prop                             running.

  • Scenic Carpenter for USC Mainstage

        -          Worked as undergraduate assistant in the USC scenic studio from August ’05 – May ‘07

        -          Worked under TD and ATD doing carpentry, scenic painting, and prop construction.

 Education

  • Currently enrolled in Yale School of Drama's Technical Design and Production MFA program.
  • BA in Theatre and Philosophy received from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC in 2008 (Theatre classes taken consisted primarily of design and technology courses).
  • Graduated magna cum laude and with honors from the South Carolina Honors College.
  • Honors Senior Thesis/Project: The Renovation of Benson Theater (an electronic copy of the write-up is available upon request)

        -          Received $4500 in grants.

        -          Purchased and installed new lighting system (dimmers, instruments, and light board).

        -          Built set of interchangeable scenic flats and renovated audience risers and backstage area.
